CATAWOL Records is proud to announce Real Figures Don’t F.O.L.D: a landmark Song Contest created in collaboration with the independent MODE Family, to raise awareness of adult bullying in hobby spaces and support charities working in bullying prevention and mental health.
Anticipation is already building across the CATAWOL roster. The first Stage will begin on May 1st 2026, while Rounds have not yet been allocated. With a wide field of Acts preparing to take part, the Contest promises a compelling mix of artistry, rivalry, and purpose.
A Contest Built on Music, Message, and Momentum
More than a showcase, Real Figures Don’t F.O.L.D is a statement of intent from CATAWOL Records: that music can be both entertaining and socially meaningful. By bringing together established names, rising talent and unexpected contenders, the label is using the Contest to amplify a vital conversation while raising funds for causes that matter.
The scale of participation reflects the strength of the roster, with Acts spanning rock, pop, EDM, classical, soul, folk, and more. While every participant will have a chance to make their mark, early attention is already falling on several likely front-runners and rivalries that could define the Contest.
Early Eyes on the Front-Runners
Among the Acts expected to draw significant attention are Bryknii, one of CATAWOL Records’ most prominent signings, and High School Dropout, a defining rock Act with a fiercely loyal following and a close connection to the MODE Family. Both are widely viewed as serious contenders for the Finals, though their paths may not be straightforward.
Soline Bellefort also enters the Contest with clear dominance and a formidable reputation, while Clémence Duval, Chelsea Chapel, GRMLN, and Westbound bring a blend of fan power, polish, and cross-genre appeal that could carry them deep into the competition.
Meanwhile, rivalry is already simmering in the background. Bryknii and Saima Gaines (paired with Cielo Groove) are poised to create one of the Contest’s most compelling tensions, while the barbershop showdown between The Coastliners and The Forty Twos promises a spirited battle of style, confidence, and audience favour.
A Platform for New Voices and Unlikely Breakthroughs
The Contest will also provide a vital stage for Acts with more to prove. Airi Kisaragi, BZpeople, Raya Vibes, Elora James, and Loop Theory each bring distinctive identities that could resonate strongly once the voting begins. Their presence ensures that the Contest will not only celebrate established success but also reward originality, craft and emotional connection.
CATAWOL Records is especially proud to support a project that places artistry in the service of community. In partnership with the MODE Family, Real Figures Don’t F.O.L.D reflects the label’s continued commitment to philanthropy, goodwill and meaningful cultural impact.
